APPR , SLOs and Librarians: This letter was sent to the System Directors on May 4th.

The new State Education Department Guidance on the APPR and SLOs has now been posted at http://engageny.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/APPR-Field-Guidance.pdf . This Guidance Document states explicitly "School Librarians are teachers in the classroom teaching service and are, therefore, subject to the new law beginning in the 2012-2013" (page 17).
